Writing portfolio

I am available for freelance writing projects. Below are samples of my written work by specialty area:

Julien’s Journal | 365ink

I serve as events editor for these two Dubuque area publications. I proofread and rewrite news releases to fit publication style, research events, and create event or feature content.

  • The Sensuality of Chocolate: Interview with 2 chocolaterie store owners — Feature article, Feb. 2012 Julien’s Journal.
  • One Man’s Gift to Ethiopia: Interview with Argaw Oremo — Feature article, Dec. 2011 Julien’s Journal.
  • Voices from the Warehouse District VII

I served as social media rep for this month-long art exhibit in 2011, and also developed website content.

    DubuqueFest

I was an online “Voice” of 2011 DubuqueFest, a city wide arts festival, contributing social media content on Facebook and Twitter, and also creating original feature content for the website.
